Areas of Expertise

Dr. Ducksoo Kim's clinical focus is the diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases using minimally invasive techniques and imaging modalities. Procedures include angioplasty or stenting of blockages in blood vessels, such as the carotid, renal, mesenteric, femoral and aortoiliac arteries; failing hemodialysis fistula/graft; and, embolization of various tumors and hemorrhagic conditions. Dr. Kim pioneered the nonsurgical treatment of uterine fibroid tumors. He was the first New England practitioner to perform uterine fibroid embolization.

Dr. Kim also has extensive experience in the treatment of obstructive urinary and biliary disorders with percutaneous catheter placement; vertebral compression fractures with vetebroplasty/ kyphoplasty; varicose veins with endovenous laser; and, outpatient embolization procedures of ovarian varices for chronic pelvic congestion syndrome, as well as testicular veins for varicocele.

Also on the team is Dr. Rajendran Vilvendhan, who is an expert at vascular interventions including angioplasty, stenting, and embolizations. He also excels at non-invasive imaging techniques, such as CT angiography and MRI angiography. He has special interest in non-vascular interventional procedures including urinary, biliary, and gastrointestinal organs.

Dr. Nii-Kabu Kabutey offers expertise in vascular interventions and venous access including central line and chest port placement and venous treatment of varicose veins. He also specializes in hemodialysis fistula management.
